Accounting
Accounting is often called the language of business. It is an information system that measures, processes, and communicates financial information about an economic entity to interested users of the information such as investors, managers and creditors.
Accounting is one of the fastest growing professions and offers great career opportunities for students. The goal of the accounting program is to prepare students for successful careers, whether in public accounting, management accounting, government accounting or other management areas.
Indiana University East offers two tracks to a major in accounting. The first is a public accounting, CPA oriented, track, and the second is a managerial accounting track.
