What is Distance Education at Indiana University East?
IU East currently offers online courses that lead to degrees in the following programs:
- Technical and Professional Writing (B.A in English with Concentration in Technical and Professional Writing)
- Communication (B.A in Communication Studies)
- Finance (B.S. in Business Administration with Concentration in Finance)

The exact amount of on-campus attendance during the junior and senior years will vary based on the choice of electives and other program choices, such as minors.
Online Courses
In addition to the degree programs, IU East offers a wide array of distance learning courses. See Distance Education Courses for current offerings. Students may also register for distance learning courses that are offered through the Indiana College Network (ICN). Prior to registration, students should discuss the course transferability with their academic advisors and the ICN coordinator.
