New and Transfer Student Orientations
New and Tranfser Student Orientation are programs designed to help admitted students enroll at IU East. Our program will familarize you with campus, academic programs and services, and extra-curricular opportunities. Orientation is a great way to meet IU East students, faculty, and staff.
Orientation is conducted prior to the start of each semester. Sessions cover several topics introducing new and transfer students to:
- Advising and course registration
- Financial Aid
- Tutorial Services
- Information Technology
- Campus Life Activities
New and Transfer Student Orientation for students enrolling for fall semesters are held during the summer months. Spring Semester New and Transfer Student Orientation programs are held during the winter. To sign up, please call the Office of Admissions at (765) 973-8208 or (800) 959-EAST. New Student Orientation dates for Fall Semester 2008 are:
- Friday, August 8th
- Friday, August 15th
Each New Student Orientation for Fall 2008 will be from 8:30am - 2:30pm and will begin in Whitewater Hall. New first year students must attend orientation to enroll for fall classes. Please click here for more information about New Student Orientation and what you need to do before coming.
Transfer Student Orientation dates for Summer and Fall Semesters 2008 are:
- All Transfer Student Orientation sessions have concluded, please follow these instructions to register for classes
- Schedule an appointment with your advisor
- Call Larry Johnson, Transfer Coordinator, and inform him of your appointment so your credit evaluation can be completed before your advising appointment. His phone number is 765-973-8416 and his email is larrjohn@indiana.edu.
- Meet with your advisor and register for classes
