Joe Barker Scholarship
Awarded for demonstrated academic potential in an economics related field.

Ruth Brown Scholarship
Awarded for demonstrated academic excellence and financial need.

Bette G. Davenport Alumni Scholarship
Awarded to one full-time or part-time student who attains/maintains a GPA of 2.5. Preference given to relatives of current or former IU East Alumni Association board members, and applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from an IU East Alumni Association current or former board member to the Director of Alumni Relations at IU East.

Israel David Edelman Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a Richmond High School graduate for demonstrated academic excellence in his or her chosen field of study.

Emogene Fleming Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior nursing student in good academic standing.

Louis E. Gibbs Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a third-year student majoring in criminal justice who has demonstrated financial need and outstanding scholarship.

J. Brandon Griffis Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to criminal justice majors entering their junior year of study at IU East.

Sally Grohsmeyer Social Work Scholarship
Awarded to students who are seeking a degree in the area of Social Work and are in good academic standing.

Glenn and Joyce Goerke Scholarship
Awarded for demonstrated academic excellence in the student's chosen field of study.

The Grohsmeyer Psychology Fund
Awarded to a current psychology student selected by the Behavioral and Social Sciences faculty committee.

Richard Hart Scholarship

Awarded to Union County residents and graduates of Union County High School attending IU-East.

Robert and Walter Havighurst Scholarship
Awarded to a minority student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study.

Henry County IU Alumni Scholarship
Awarded to degree seeking students with good academic standing and are residents of Henry County.

Hill Scholarship
Awarded to relatives of any employee of Hill Floral Products Companies.

Indiana University Alumni Chapter of Eastern Indiana
Awarded to a student directly related to an Indiana University alumnus. Attach a statement describing your future plans and why you should receive this scholarship.

Indiana University Alumni Association Scholars

Awarded to sons or daughters of members of the Indiana University Alumni Association.  Student must be full-time and an undergraduate.  A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded for the IU East campus.  To apply, go to IUAA Scholars Application.

Indiana University East Academic Scholarship
Awarded to continuing students who submit an application for scholarship before March 1, and have a grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Indiana University East Alumni Association Scholarship
Awarded to a student directly related to an Indiana University East alumnus. Preference for this scholarship is given to a part-time, nontraditional student. Attach a statement describing your future plans and why you should receive this scholarship and a letter of reference from a member of the IU East Alumni Association.

Indiana University East Endowment Scholarship
Awarded to continuing students who submit an application for a scholarship before March 1, and have a grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Indiana University East Honors Program Scholarship

Awarded to students accepted into the Honors Program.  Scholarship is renewable for those that continue in the program.

Indiana University East International Student Scholarship
Awarded to a student to assist with covering costs associated with study abroad.

Indiana University East Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a current student in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for demonstrated academic excellence.

Indiana University East Professional Council Scholarship

Awarded to part-time students who are seeking a four-year degree with demonstrated academic merit and financial need.

Indiana University East Staff Council Scholarship
Awarded to a continuing student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study and financial need. Preference is given to single parent, part-time students.

Helen Lee's Honors Program Scholarship

Awarded to returning Honors Program students.

Lingle Family Scholarship
Awarded to a continuing Adult Re-entry Program student. Attach a letter specifying your educational goals, financial need, and proof of academic success.

Frances Mayhaw Nursing Scholarship

Awarded to students pursing a bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.

Allan B. McCrea Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to IU East students who are residents of Wayne County and exhibit academic excellence.

James Moore Scholarship
Awarded to a member of the Whitewater Valley Pool League.

Bernhard and Amy Morten Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to sophomore, junior, or senior nursing students who are in good academic standing and have made progress toward degree completion. Preference will be given to US military veterans and their spouses.

Charlie and Jeanetta Nelms Scholarship
Awarded to an African American student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study.

Antonio Ochoa Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to degree seeking students with demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to single parents and/or students who are returning to school to complete degree requirements.

Naomi Osborne Graduating Senior Scholarship
Awarded to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average in a bachelor's degree program.

Palladium-Item Scholarship
Awarded to a student from the Palladium-Item circulation area for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study.

Byron and Betty Park Scholarship
Awarded to a sophomore, full-time student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study and financial need.

Raymond H. Pavy Spirit Scholarship

Awarded to students attending the Danielson Learning Center in New Castle, Indiana and are residents of Henry County.  Primary consideration will be given to deserving people who have demonstrated potential for learning and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Students will be eligible to re-apply each academic year, including summer sessions.  Contact the Henry County Community Foundation for more information at

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Awarded to a Phi Theta Kappa member with a two-year degree.

Ron Powell Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a current student pursuing a degree in liberal arts or general studies and actively involved in student activities.

The Tom Raper Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study and financial need.

Dick and Joan Reynolds Scholarship
Awarded to a Wayne County student preparing for a career in journalism.

William K. Richardson Scholarship
Awarded to a business student.

Judith Roman-Royer Scholarship
Awarded to a female student pursuing a degree in the field of English or any other field of liberal arts.

Juanita Rothert Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a current nursing student for demonstrated academic merit and potential for contributions to the nursing profession.

David H. Runyon Scholarship

Awarded to nontraditional students with preference to married students who are residents of Richmond, Indiana, and who see the value of an education as a way of bettering themselves.

Grant Spears, Jr. Scholarship
Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in a public service field.

Anne Sperling Nursing Scholarship

Awarded to exemplary Indiana University East nursing student employed at Reid Hospital and Health Care Services.

Striderite/Junior Achievement Scholarship

Awarded to a student attending Indiana University East.  Contact Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana, Inc. at 765-962-0503 for more information.

Student Alumni Association Scholarship
Awarded to degree seeking students who are also members of the IU East Student Alumni Association. Preference will be given to full-time students. Part-time students must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours per semester.

Eleanor L. Turk International Studies Scholarship
This scholarship is used to support undergraduate and graduate traveling abroad to study in an accredited study or exchange program.

Thurman Family Scholarship
Awarded to part-time students who are employed on a full-time basis and do not receive tuition reimbursement. Preferences will be given to General Studies and Business degree students.

Ashton Veramallay Economics/Economics Education Scholarship
Awarded to a current student for demonstrated academic potential in an economics related field.

Vigran Family Scholarship
Awarded to degree seeking students with good academic standing and financial need. Students must be a resident of Wayne County with preference given to residents of Richmond, Indiana.

Arthur M. Vivian Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to degree seeking students in good standing a demonstrated progress towards degree completion.

Harry and Marilyn Voyles Scholarship
Awarded to a current student for demonstrated academic potential in his or her chosen field of study and financial need.

James E. Weigand Scholarship
Awarded to a degree-seeking student admitted to the School of Continuing Studies who has demonstrated financial need and academic achievement.
