Student Technology Fee
Money from the Student Technology Fee is used to pay for all student-related computing equipment and services. This includes computers in computer labs spread across three campus sites, equipment in smart classrooms, as well as software applications, printers, scanners, networking and security equipment, and salaries for support staff that are necessary to carry out the services.
In 2006-2007, in addition to the routine expenditures, the technology fees also funded all or a portion of the following major initiatives:
- Replacement of network switches
- Installation of security alarms for smart classrooms
- Choices@East course development Award
- OpportunityPathway
At Indiana University East, money from the Student Technology Fee is managed separately and does not go toward any other general funding. Please direct all questions to Information Technology Services.
