The Alzheimer's Association and Area 9 Agency are offering a workshop, "The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease" on April 7th from 10:00am-11:30am at the Faeytte County Public Library, 828 N. Grand Avenue in Connersville. This program is designed to help you understand the difference between normal age-related memory changes and more serious memory problems that should be evaluated by a medical professional. This program is offered at no cost and is open to the public. Call 800-272-3900 to register.
"Don't Be A Victim" program will be April 9th at 10:00am at the Area 9 Agency Richmond office. The program will focus on protecting oneself from financial scams, as well as being able to identify when someone has become a victim of a scam along with how to fix the scam. Our 10th Annual Senior Expo will be held on May 15th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at The Lamplight Inn at the Leland, 900 South A Street in Richmond. Over 45 booths with a variety of vendors will offer information and provide health screenings. Special presentations will be given during the day on topics of interest to older citizens. There is no admission fee and lunch will be provided to the first 200 people. For more information, contact our office.

Grand Avenue in Connersville. This program is designed to help you talk with your entire family, including the person with signs of dementia, about some challenging and often uncomfortable topics related to Alzheimer's and dementia.
