United Way of Whitewater Valley began back in 1928 as the Richmond Community Fund. Since then, it has continued to be a community leader in solving problems and building partnerships to improve the lives of individuals in Wayne and Union counties. They work with community leaders to identify the challenges that affect people the most- homeless, hunger, domestic abuse, disasters, addiction, disabilities, and family loss.
