The Public Health Nursing division provides health promotion, disease prevention and health education services to Fayette County. Some of the programs and services available are described below: HEALTH SERVICES; *Flu and pneumonia immunization clinics *Childhood and adult immunizations *Pregnancy testing *TB testing *Lead screening *Investigation of communicable diseases *Blood pressure and blood sugar screening *B-12 injections *Health related education *Smoking cessation program *Health related presentations for businesses and classrooms HEALTH EDUCATION: They have many pamphlets, videos and magazines available covering a wide range of health topics, including: *Nutrition *Tobacco *Abstinence *Sexually transmitted diseases *Head lice control *Drugs *Pregnancy *Diabetes *Exercise *Breastfeeding *Caregiver topics IMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE: Offered 3 days each month: *First Wednesday of each month -- 9:00-11:45am and 1:00-4:00pm *Second and Fourth Wednesdays -- 9:00-11:45am and 1:00 to 4:00pm
