HMCC- Child Care Resource and Referral is a project of the Indiana Association of Child Care Resource and Referral and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. Child Care Resource and Referral promotes quality child care by providing support services for families, providers and the community. We believe that Child Care Resource and Referral system is the appropriate vehicle for promoting quality environments to meet the needs of all young children in our society. We are committed to providing consumer education services to families to help them understand the importance of seeing that their children are in quality environments. We are also committed to helping child care providers build their own personal skills and build programs that reflect a positive child development knowledge base. We recognize that in order to meet the needs of families and children as well as the providers who care for the children, the community must be involved in supporting quality initiatives. Because of all of these reasons, we are committed to providing the Child Care Resource and Referral Program for our East Central Indiana 10 county service delivery area.\ Huffer houses two unique programs that include Educare and Child Care Resource and Referral. Our Educare program provides a safe and nurturing facility with preschool and child care services. Through the Child Care Resource and Referral Program (CRR&R) we provide parent referrals, training for child care professionals, and continue to work on promoting quality child care. This program operates the Resource Van which provides developmentally appropriate materials that promote quality child care for all children.
