Program/Service Notes:
IMPACT stands for Indiana Manpower Placement and Comprehensive Training. It is the employment and training section of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Family and Children. The goal of IMPACT is to help people on public assistance achieve self-sufficiency. IMPACT operates the Community Work Experience Program (CWEP). This program places IMPACT clients into unpaid job positions. The participant gains work experience and employment skills. The Food Stamp Program helps low income families buy nutritious food. The state and federal government run Indiana's Food Stamp Program through the Division of Family and Children (DFC). There are strict rules about household eligibility for food stamps. You may apply for food stamps in any country. Most eligible applicants receive food stamps within 30 days after applying. It takes this long for processing.
