East of Montreal
08/02/2010
Mini-rant: When I prepared for this trip, I bought a pass that was supposed to allow me access to most of Canada. It didn't. I was unable to travel east of Montreal with the pass. I ended up spending $225 more than I needed to and had to purchase extra tickets to travel.(The policy change was a recent one, the clerk assured me. Yay for me!)
My last evening in Québec City, I had a lovely dinner with Anna and Sébastien. Anna made a delicious vegetarian couscous (she wasn't sure if I ate meat or not) and a custard with strawberries. (By Canadian standards, I do not eat very much. I have been reminded of this many times.) Anna, who is Italian, had WWOOFed through New Brunswick. She assured me that I would learn quite a bit about eco-friendly farming techniques and the culture of Québec.
