MILKSHAKES.

"My break consisted of working, working, and working. Okay that's a lie. I went snow tubing, went clubbing, ate lots of pizza, made late night milkshake runs, and enjoyed the company of my friends. :) But I am ready for school again, I think."

Well, we are back from winter break! The break was great; however, I am definitely ready to be back on campus. I want my life back haha. My break consisted of working, working, and working. Okay that's a lie. I went snow tubing, went clubbing, ate lots of pizza, made late night milkshake runs, and enjoyed the company of my friends. :) But I am ready for school again, I think.

Speaking of work, as many of you already know, I work at a grocery store. Please don't be rude to people who work at grocery stores. I had to work Christmas Eve and a lady complained about me to my manager who was standing right next to me. She complained because I had to run back to the deli department to get a tag fixed for a lady's order ahead of her. Luckily my manager told her I did nothing wrong (which made the lady even more mad). People don't have any respect for people that do those jobs. If I was not working that day, how would you get the things you need for your Christmas dinners etc? Also, don't park in front of the entrance/exit, don't come in ten times a day, don't get mad when something does not ring up right (we just stand there and scan things we don't control prices), don't say you're going to go somewhere else if you don't get your way because we usually just stand there and look at you (there is nothing we can do). Also, someone pooped on the floor the other day in isle 11 and my friend Matt had to clean it up. Don't do that either.

Being funny at Pizza King. Mmm. :)

Anyway, we all had our first set of classes this week. I feel like the weight has been lifted off my shoulders for this semester. My classes are nicely spaced out (only one a day) and I have three classes online. Unfortunately, my classes fall on the meeting times for certain student organizations so I won't be AS active this semester. But I will definitely help out in any way that I can.

I will be scheduling the first STAT meeting in the next couple of weeks. Also, there is another Student Organization Fair coming up on January 25th and 26th. We will be in Springwood Hall. If you have any questions about Students Today Alumni Tomorrow this would be the perfect time to stop by and ask. :) Student Government will also be there to answer your questions. Don't be shy. Being active in student organizations is a great way to give back to your school, meet new friends, build your resume, and make the most of your college career.

I am excited about my Projects in Telecommunications course. Because I have done a lot of the studio work in the past, I will mainly be working on editing Inside IU East Sports and Faces of IU East. I am also taking a Psychology of Everyday Life course. I am looking forward to this class as most of our work is self-reflective. I believe I will have a different perspective of myself once the semester is over. Hopefully the class will help me understand why I am the person I am today.

Jade and myself waiting outside to get into the club. :) It was freezing.

Other than all of that, I am hoping to do some traveling in the spring. Currently, I am saving up money for a plane ticket to Austria. My dad is actually from there (he came to the U.S. when he was a kid), and I still have a lot of family overseas (grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, lots of cousins). It is looking like I may be staying about a month. It's not set in stone yet and I still need to get my new passport (which has become more expensive wow). But I miss my family and I cannot wait to see them again. Austria is a beautiful country. Other than that, my girlfriends and I have thrown around the idea of having our own trip this spring. So maybe that will happen as well. Now is the time to travel and I think everyone should do it. It is extremely educational.

That's all I have for the time being. Life will get more interesting shortly. :)
