You all must know by now that I am from Indianapolis. And boy do I miss it (all the time), but today I don’t miss it. I walked into work, opened up the Pal-Item, and saw that SCECINA (my Alma modern) absolutely KILLED Northeastern to win the Football Sectional Championship. Scecina literally RAN them off the field. 49 to NOTHING.
I know both teams worked so hard to be there, but I am extra proud of my Crusaders. People don’t realize that Scecina is EXTREMELY small…we don’t even have a football field! And the area we practice on is terrible. I admire those boys, what they go through, and the hard work the put in. I know most of the boys and they are GREAT kids. More than half the team is made of sophomores whom I have personally babysat my whole life.
I’m telling you, hard work pays off!
The IUE volleyball team won a Co-Conference Championship this weekend for regular season. The Conference TOURNAMENT begins Friday and ends Saturday. AND, IU EAST is hosting it this year. SO GET YOUR BUTT DOWN TO THE TIERNAN CENTER AND SUPPORT US. If goes as planned, we will be facing Asbury in the final match at 5:00pm.
