Putting my big girl pants on.

So many changes coming up. :)

"My tension was quickly relieved after I almost kicked him in the face several times while he rubbed my feet. Luckily, he just laughed. What an icebreaker, right?"

So, I have been flying under the radar for the past week or two. It is amazing how strong you can be when you have no other choice. Life goes on, whether you want it to or not. One of my favorite quotes (which happens to come from the movie The Weatherman haha) says, "Usually the hardest thing to do, and the right thing to do, are the same thing." The right thing is to push forward. Although it sucks, it's an empowering feeling.

I was discussing life plans with my mom the other night. She asked me where I was planning on relocating for a career. Honestly, I still really do not know. To me, the sky is the limit. It was very comforting talking to her; she told me I have never been the type of kid who needs to be close and I adjust well wherever I am. That was extremely reassuring because I have been thinking about moving pretty far away. BUT: I'm not going to lie, Cincinnati, Ohio is on the top of my list (along with Indianapolis and a few others). However, that does not mean that I will end up there. That's the exciting part. ;)

Cincinnati. <3 Will I end up here?

I applied for graduation last week. I recently received my confirmation emails saying they are reviewing my degrees. It is hard to believe that in four months I will be holding two degrees. It is difficult to see past the walls of Indiana University East. I love this school so much. I am really trying to soak up as much of my last semester as possible. Soon it is all going to be a thing of the past. I will visit though. I have family here.

In other news, I have paid down my summer in Cincinnati. I only have $250 more to pay on a credit card and I am done. I know a lot of people say credit cards get you in trouble, but I have had one since I was eighteen. I think the key is to be SCARED of the credit card - that way you always pay it off. It was funny how things worked out last summer. I had no idea how I was going to afford living in Cincinnati for three months. A month before the internship date, I found out I qualified for a zero percent interest credit card check. So I took out as much as I thought I needed from my credit card, and I have until May of this year to pay it back INTEREST FREE. Luckily, I will have it paid off by the end of this month. I win!

I received my first pedicure on Sunday. First of all, the guilt of having a stranger down on their hands and knees picking at my toes and rubbing my feet eats me alive. I feel so bad about it and that is why I never got one until this point. Also, I am really-really-really ticklish. I felt that a pedicure would just be an all-around awkward experience for me. But because everyone suggested I get one, I figured why not.

In rare form after Bonnaroo 2011. Cut on my face from being hit at a Bassnectar concert. Brown skin from sun and dirt, hard grimey hair from not being washed in days, and that white IU cut off had to be thrown away. This was taken at a gas station shower: THE BEST SHOWER I HAVE EVER HAD. Can't wait to do it again! :)

The guy who did my pedicure was awesome. My tension was quickly relieved after I almost kicked him in the face several times while he rubbed my feet. Luckily, he just laughed. What an icebreaker, right?

After the pedicure, I left a hefty tip and went shopping for a while. You should ALWAYS leave a good tip. People work very hard and you have no idea what is going on in their lives. If you have an opportunity to make someone's day, do it. Not to mention, I was annoyed listening to the women complain to the workers about how long they have to wait to get their nails done. I could not imagine actually working there and listening to that crap all day.

Lastly, Bonnaroo 2012 is fast approaching. Because I do not know about the job situation, I do not know if I will be able to go. BUT I WANT TO! I cannot wait for the schedule to come out so I can see who will be there. It is hard to believe I already cannot wait to brave 110 degree heat for four days with swollen ankles and no shower. Yes, last year all of our ankles swelled! Must have been from the lack of water and all of the walking. That place is pure magic, I tell you! Haha.

Until next time. :)
