I can’t believe that summer vacation is almost over! It feels like I just started my vacation and now I have to start thinking about how I’m going to get my books for my classes in the fall! Speaking of my books, I just found out that one of my classes has seven books! I can’t believe it! I don’t know how we are going to read all 7 books during the semester! I have a feeling that this class is going to be one of my toughies.
Other than sweating over my books, I’ve had to have a lot of work done to my teeth. I went to the dentist two weeks ago and found out that I need all four wisdom teeth removed, two fillings, and two crowns! I just had the fillings done today and I get the impressions for the crowns on Thursday. For the wisdom teeth, I was supposed to have them extracted last Thursday, but the dentist that was going to perform the extractions came down with a stomach bug and the fill-in didn’t feel comfortable taking them out. On one hand I was vary relieved that she didn’t use me as her Guinea Pig, but on the other hand I was kind of upset because I was all drugged up on Halcion (a drug to make you more relaxed for the surgery) and I was getting numb from the topical that the dental hygienist put in my mouth. Anyway, I rescheduled my appointment for Monday, and hopefully my dentist will be there to finally take these babies out!
Just a quick shout out before I go. A few blogs back I introduced Jennie DeVoe to the IU East community. I just wanted to let you know that she is performing a concert this Saturday at Wilson’s Wines in Modoc, IN. The gates open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8:30 pm. It’s $12 to get in, but if you want tickets in advance they are only $10. All ages are welcome and if you want to come, please bring your lawn chairs. Blankets are not permitted!
