I-I-I Ke-eep On Fallin’

Ugh, love me some old school Alicia Keys. Ha! HAPPY WEDNESDAY!! I’m sure it’s happy since FALL IS IN THE AIR! Fall is my favorite season, partly because my national holiday birthday is October 23, but also because there’s a crispness in the air that feels (and smells) so good! Not to mention, Halloween is always amazing and anything pumpkin-flavored is delicious! I’m definitely taking in everything this time around since I know what it feels like to not have it! Last year in England, stores weren’t overflowing with Halloween costumes/decorations and unnecessary Fall-related home décor/scents (in typical American fashion), Starbucks didn’t have a pumpkin-spice latte (I KNOW?!) and I wasn’t able to experience my mother’s Fall decorations, which are sometimes the best part of the season! Speaking of, this weekend my cousin was home from Germany (she lives there permanently, like a BAWSE) and she wanted to have one of my mom’s special tea parties (my mom throws a lot of tea parties, she’s so English without even trying!), so my mom made sure to have all of her decorations for Fall out, and she has A LOT. Fall is my mom’s favorite season, as well, and she’s like super-interior-designer when it comes to all of her holiday ‘bits and bobs’ (English phrase- tehe!)! Now that all of the Fall decorations are perfectly placed and equally adorable, the apple cider candles are burning and the pumpkin-spice lattes at Starbucks are still delicious and over-priced, let Fall in America commence!!!

About Kelsey

Hey guys! I’m Kelsey and am a Senior majoring in Biology. I am active in the Honors club on campus and spend part of my time working as a student ambassador and Pack Leader for IU East. I am a foodie, I love to shop and I watch entirely too much television. I have just finished a year abroad in Canterbury, England and hope to keep you entertained this year as I readjust to American college life and try to find some justification for the American things I now cannot fathom. Enjoy! xx
