TRAVELING…during the semester?? Whaaa?
Hi ya'll! I've spent the last month traveling around the eastern part of our country! That's right, during school. You may ask how I can do this? How I can be absent from the campus for so long? Well, that is the beauty of online classes, ladies and gentleman. Because I am in the Communications program here at IU East, most of my classes are online. Online classes offer many benefits; however, there are some negatives as well. The big perks include getting a syllabus at the beginning of the semester that has all the assignments, weekly modules, weekly forums, and other "set-date" assignments. Professors are very good about allowing tons of time for work to be completed and turned in. Because I was able to see ahead and work on my assignments ahead of time, I was able to do some traveling.
It wasn't all play, though. After Easter lunch with my family, my dad and I took a trip to New York. I had an interview for a coaching job in upstate New York. It was a 12 hour drive...minus the stopping, touring, eating, and other necessities. On our way back, we stopped at Niagara Falls. It was only 30 minutes out of our way--so we HAD to stop! It was an absolute blast!! It was a little chilly and very windy, but worth the drive! My dad and I really marveled at how beautiful something can be. BUTTTTTTT, did you know that we (humans) have altered it. WHAT THE?! We can actually turn it "off and on." Basically we can stop it from being so strong of a force. That is VERY sad. We need to let nature run its course!
Because you had a bad day.

I am sure each of you have had your own experiences with bad luck, but I feel as if my bad luck has been running high for about a month now. Today hopefully was rock bottom so I can only go up from here right?? Let me just tell you about this awful day and then you can decide for yourselves
Just a little background: I drive a 2000 Ford Explorer and I have been driving it for about four years now. it has over 180,000 miles on it and it gets meet from point A to point B and that is all that really matters.

I decided to make a couple repairs each month this summer, that way I could make my car last at least one more year. Because when I graduate this year the first thing I am buying is a new car! So over the summer I have probably put a total of $800 into fixing this beast and today I was finishing up the repairs which included: Two new front tires, alignment and an oil change. So I take my car into the place at 8:00am they finish all the work by 10:00am. I drive off the premises and almost make it back home when all of a sudden my power steering goes out and the car shuts off....in the MIDDLE of the street. I panicked Lol I called like five people and didn't know what to do, so I finally checked the oil and sure enough there was absolutely no oil in the car
. I had to have my car towed back into the place and they fixed the oil "problem" but of course the engine is blown...so a bad situation turn worse. I am crossing my fingers that my luck will change here in the next couple of weeks *crosses fingers*.
On the bright side of things I have officially completed my first Critical Care clinical. I was soooo nervous when I got there and I really felt out of my element but with the help of an awesome nurse by the end of the day I definitely felt like a nurse. And it felt really good. So that wraps up week three of my senior year.
*Sigh* Let me stop complaining and get back to my homework. Have a great weekend peeps
