Volunteer Incentive Program
I. Registration
- IU East and Purdue University Programs students of any class standing or status will be eligible to register.
- Students will be able to register online or in person in the Volunteer Action Center located in the Office of Campus Life.
- Upon registration, students will receive an “IU East V.A.C. V.I.P. 973-8366” pencil.
II. Reporting
- Once registered, students will report volunteer/service hours online or in the V.A.C.
- Students will be asked to give the date, time (in length), location, type of service completed along with contact name and phone number
- Students will also be asked to give the name and phone number of a contact person from the organization served.
- The Student Intern will verify completion of all hours prior to updating the students service hours.
III. Rewards
- There will be five levels of rewards based on hours of service.
- The reward levels will go as follows:
- 5 hours/ points: Key chain
- 10 hours/ points: Write on / wipe off board
- 20 hours/ points: ID Holder and lanyards
- 35 hours/ points: Thermal Mug
- 45 hours/ points: Sweatshirt
As students reach each level, they will be notified via letter to pick up their “thank you” from the V.A.C. The program will run on an annual basis. The course of the program will run from May to April.
