School of Education

Working with an Education Advisor is a critical and required component for successful completion of any I.U. East School of Education Program.

Who is My Advisor?

All new School of Education students are assigned to Carla Bowen for their first 24 credit hours (6-8 classes). Please plan to meet with your assigned advisor early in your program to plan your schedule. Early registration is often the key to getting into the classes you need to take during the next semester.

Once students have completed their first 24 credit hours, they will be assigned a different School of Education faculty advisor who will work with them through program completion. This information can be found in SIS in the student's Student Center.
