Welcome to the Indiana University East School of Education.
The faculty and staff in the School of Education share a common goal: to maximize the potential of every student who dreams of becoming a teacher. After all, what is more important than the education of future generations of children? We are constantly seeking and integrating best practices in education for the benefit of our students and, eventually, K-12 pupils. Towards this end, the School of Education, in partnership with the larger educational community, prepares teachers who know what it means to be reflective scholars, instructional leaders, and global citizens.
We invite you to be a part of this journey. As a School of Education student, you will benefit from extensive field experiences including pre-student teaching and student teaching, small class sizes, and a caring faculty who have a vast amount of educational experience. You will work hard in your classes at IU East but I can promise you this…when you graduate from our program, you will be well-prepared for the challenges that await teachers in today’s schools.
If you have any questions about our programs, please feel free to contact me or to stop by my office.
