Phase I - Summer Session

Summer I
  • EDUC-E 555 Diversity and the Communities of All Learners(3 cr.)
    Graduate level foundations and multiculturalism course.
  • EDUC-J 538 Practicum (1 cr.)
  • EDUC-M 500 Integrated Professional Seminar (0 cr.)
Summer II
  • EDUC-P 510 Psychology in Teaching (3 cr.)
  • EDUC-K 500 Topical Exploration in Special Education (3 cr.)

Phase II - Fall Semester (August-December)

  • EDUC-J 500 Content Methods Course (3 cr.)

  • EDUC-J 538 M.S. Practicum/Internship (1 cr.)
    Supervised practice in a school or other approved agency. Includes performance in such roles as curriculum development, program evaluation, action research, staff training and development, consultation, or program development. A comprehensive report involving a systematic analysis of the practicum activity must be completed.
  • EDUC-M 500 Integrated Professional Seminar (0 cr.)

Phase III - Spring Semester

  • EDUC-J 538 M.S. Practicum/Internship (3 cr.)
    Supervised practice in a school or other approved agency. Includes performance in such roles as curriculum development, program evaluation, action research, staff training and development, consultation, or program development. A comprehensive report involving a systematic analysis of the practicum activity must be completed.
    (This course meets with Student Teaching/Capstone course.)

Grade Requirements

Any course grade below a B will result in dismissal from the program.
