B.S. in Business Administration (Online)
If you’re interested in a business career, IU East can prepare you for success. You’ll study with business faculty members who are experts in different specialties, as you learn the principles and practices of business in a dynamic global environment.
The B.S. online completion program in Business Administration consists of 60 credit hours (20 courses) to be offered over six academic terms/two calendar years. Students are advised to follow the program plan below.
If any completion program requirements have already been met through transferable course equivalents, online alternatives may be selected in consultation with the assigned faculty advisor. No more than 64 credits can be accepted in transfer from 2-year institutions or community colleges.
An optional Finance concentration is available. This concentration may take additional time to complete. Please consult your academic advisor for more information.

Program Prerequisites
It is recommended that the requirements below are met before beginning the online degree completion program.However, a student may elect to pursue the program even if this is not the case. A customized plan of study will be developed for the student to complete initial requirements if not previously completed.
General Education Requirements (39 cr.)
These are general requirements set forth by the IU East School of Business & Economics. It is recommended these are met before beginning the Online Degree Completion.
Composition and Communication (9 cr.)
- ENG-W 131 Elementary Composition I
- Choose one additional college level composition course:
- Choose one college level Speech Communication course:
College Level Mathematics (3 cr.)
Natural Science & Mathematics (9 cr.)
- MATH-M 118 Finite Mathematics
- Choose one Natural Science Course (w/ lab component) from:
- Choose any number of Natural Science / Math courses to reach at least 9 cr.
Humanities & Fine Arts (9 cr)
- Choose 9 credits from at least two of the following areas of study (no more than 1 studio course):
Behavioral & Social Sciences (9 cr)
- ECON-E 103 Microeconomics
- Choose 6 credits from the following areas of study:
- Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Social Geography (G110 and higher)
