Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is the application required for most types of need-based aid. The FAFSA must be completed in order for a student to be considered for federal and state grants, federal student loans (including Stafford and Perkins), and Federal Work-Study.
Indiana Teacher Scholarships
These scholarships are administered by the Indiana Comission for Higher Education; a student must be an Indiana resident to be eligible. Students must also complete the appropriate academic year´s FAFSA. More information is available through their website.
Federal Parent PLUS Loan
The Federal Parent PLUS Loan may be borrowed by a biological or adoptive parent, or a step-parent, on behalf of a dependent, undergraduate student. The loan is subject to credit approval. For the 2013-2014 academic year and beyond we will be moving to an online application. You may complete the application online at https://studentloans.gov.
Federal Graduate PLUS Loan
The Federal Graduate PLUS Loan may be borrowed by graduate or professional school students on their own behalf. The loan is subject to credit approval.
Federal Perkins Loan
The Federal Perkins Loan has been discontinued by the government at this time. Previous borrowers may be eligible, but no new loans can be made at this time. If you have previously borrowed, please contact the office with any questions.
Child of Certain Veterans and Public Safety Officers Supplemental Grant Program
This program provides tuition assistance for eligible children of disabled Indiana veterans, children of POW/MIA from the Vietnam War, eligible children/spouses of certain members of the Indiana National Guard killed while serving on active duty, and eligible children/spouses of certain Indiana public safety officers killed in the line of duty. In addition, applicants must also file the appropriate academic year´s FAFSA and pay Indiana resident tuition/fees.
Indiana Senior Citizen Fee Waiver
This tuition waiver for certain Indiana public colleges and universities is equal to 50 percent of the school's in-state tuition. The institution is not required to waive the tuition of a senior for more than nine (9) credit hours each semester. The school is also not required to waive fees for applications, registration, laboratory work or self-supporting programs. Seniors, therefore, will still have to pay for some of their college costs. Returning Student Scholarship Application
In order to be considered for an IU East scholarship, you must fill out a scholarship application online from your One account. Eligibility is based on academic merit, although some scholarships also consider financial need. These need-based scholarships require that the student file the FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) .
Schuck Memorial Cultural Enrichment Scholarship Application
Rebecca "Becky" Schuck was an IU East student with a bright future who sadly passed away her junior year. Becky loved to explore the world and enjoyed taking part in university travel experiences. As such, this scholarship was established in her memory by faculty, staff and friends who wish to share Becky's passion for learning with others. Interested students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and complete the appropriate application prior to the trip. Preference will be given to students enrolled in university led cultural enrichment travel experiences.
Veteran Request for Enrollment Certification
Veterans who wish to use their VA benefits to pay their educational expenses will need to complete the enrollment certification request each semester they wish to use their benefits.

This form is to be used to provide information to your lender. Information may be found on your OneStart account and also on the IU East Financial Aid webpages.
Consortium Information and Applications
IU East students who wish to receive financial aid while attending another IU campus or Ivy Tech Community College Regions 6,9 or 11 must complete and be approved for a consortium before their IU East financial aid can be released. Please visit our office for instructions and an application.
