Healthy Kids
This annual spring health fair is for the first grade students of Richmond. The health fair will include sessions led by our guest instructors, staff, and student nurses. Each session they will learn about such wellness topics as: nutrition, exercise, good citizenship, and relaxation.
Counseling Services
This service provides brief therapy counseling service for students and employees. This is a confidential program. Clients enrolled in EAP programs may be eligible to submit our bill to their company program for reimbursement. Four sessions are free for students and employees. After the fourth session a sliding scale fee is applied.
Area 9 Wellness Grant
This grant provides wellness services for area seniors. Available services include: BP screens, lipid profiles, glucose testing, health risk appraisals, seated exercise sessions, vision and hearing screens and lunch and learn educational programs on a variety of wellness and health related topics..
Immunizations
Hepatitis, Influenza, H1N1, Tetanus, and TB are available to employees, students, and their families when supplies are available.
Health Risk Appraisals
This is a 40 minute, free, on-line questionnaire for adult men and women. This questionnaire assesses your general health risks and makes recommendations to help you reverse you risk.
Massage Therapy
A licensed massage therapist provides massage by appointment.
Health Fairs
Educational fairs can be provided on campus or in the community for all ages. Interactive learning stations, assessment booths, and giveaways are included. Cost is determined by number/ type of booths and participant count.
Personal Wellness HPER 219/119
This one or two credit hour course is designed for anyone interested in improving his or her personal physical health. Awareness is raised through fitness testing, blood work and education. Fitness Center membership is included with a minimum number of required points. Points are earned through health assessments and exercise sessions in the Graf Recreation Center and may be taken Pass/Fail or Audit only. [Course Listing]
