Fine Arts

The students of FINA U401 Special Topics in Studio Art: Mural Painting are finishing painting the mural of the Historic Railroad Depot or the official name, The Pennsylvania Railroad Station that was built in 1872, carried more than 25 passenger trains a day.The Fine Arts department offers courses in the techniques of creating various types of art such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Courses in art history and art appreciation are also offered. Each year the Fine Arts department sponsors the Whitewater Valley Annual Art Competition, which offers students and local artists the opportunity to enter their work in a competition judged by a nationally-known art critic. The works selected are displayed in one of several campus art galleries.
