Minor Requirements (18 cr)
All courses must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
- H217 The Nature of History (3)
- Choose a US History Course
- Choose a European History Course
- Choose a World History Course
- Choose 9 credit hours at the 300/400 level
Evaluation
Write a reflective essay in which you answer three questions:
- What is history?
- What is the historical method?
- How has my understanding of history and the historical method changed as a result of the history classes I have taken?
In explaining #3, you will want to refer to classes you have taken, books read, papers written, etc.--anything that illustrates how and why your understanding of history has changed.
The paper is to be submitted no later than 6 weeks before graduation.
