Computer Music Studio and Keyboard Lab
The music department's computer music studio and keyboard lab, located in Springwood 215, is used by students and faculty throughout the academic year. Several classes, including electronic music courses, are taught in this room and the room is staffed during open hours to allow student use of the equipment for class assignments and music projects. A current semester schedule of open hours is posted outside of the room and will also be posted online. Please contact the director of music studies if you have any questions.
This ever-expanding and developing facility features contains the following:
- Twelve (12) Yamaha Clavinova pianos
- Four (4) iMac Computer Music Workstations with the following software:
- Sibelius and Finale (Music Notation)
- Reason and Albeton Live (Music Production)
- ProTools (Digital Audio Recording & Editing)
- Peak LE (Audio Editing Software)
- Max/MSP/Jitter (Audio and Video Programming Software)
- Expanded sound libraries including the Garritan Personal Orchestra, and a number of Reason and Ableton refill sound packs.
