Writing Center
All IU East students enrolled in writing classes or classes that require writing are encouraged to use the Writing Center located in Whitewater Hall 206. All Writing Center services are free to students and are designed to help them succeed academically and gain confidence in writing.
Students may come to the Writing Center as often as they like. Writing Consultants are available at all scheduled times to help students:
- Brainstorm for paper ideas
- Select an idea from several choices
- Discuss course readings
- Work on a rough draft
- Work on mechanics (comma splices, etc.)
- Revise a draft for a better grade
Students may also submit their papers for review by emailing the Writing Center at write@iue.edu
