B.S. in Education
Indiana University East's School of Education prepares you for a career as an inspiring educator who makes a difference in the lives of students. The school offers a two-year elementary education program that supports the articulation agreement between Indiana University and IvyTech Community College Lawrenceburg. The Indiana University East program offers a high-quality, on-site instruction, and an intensive field-based component.
Offering courses in Lawrenceburg provides the opportunity for associate degree graduates to earn both a high-quality four-year degree and a teaching license without leaving Dearborn County. Indiana University East strongly believes that teacher preparation should be provided locally and at a reasonable cost.
The mission of the School of Education is to prepare teachers who are reflective scholars, instructional leaders, and global citizens and to serve the community and profession promoting and facilitating best practices in education.
