More than Books
We have books. Lots of books. We've got magazines and newspapers, too. But did you know we also have DVDs & CDs? Computer labs? Electronic journals? We have resources to help you succeed in your educational career.
Borrowing Books & other Media
Our shelves are stocked with thousands of books, old and new, along with a substantial collection of reference materials for use in our study rooms. Students, Staff, Faculty, and even the Richmond community at large are all welcome to borrow our materials.
If you need a book, article, or other media that we don't have, you can always borrow it from any library. Anywhere. Nationwide. Books from other IU campuses will arrive faster, but we can borrow books from any library in the country. The service is called Interlibrary Loan.
Regardless of which way you go, the IU Catalog system, IUCAT, will guide the way for you. You can use that here at the library, or from anywhere you have Internet access.
The IU East library has contracts with a number of online e-Book providers, allowing you to quickly read and reference a digitized collection of books from the convenience of your computer. E-books can be searched to find specific passages or quotations with ease.
