Course Reserves

Materials are placed on reserve by instructors so that their students will have access to reading assignments for their classes.

Faculty: Create a course reserve

Faculty may place items on Reserve, which will then be available to students at the Library's Circulation Desk. To place materials on reserve, please fill out a Reserve Request Form and turn it in at the Library's Circulation Desk with your reserve materials. If you need assistance please contact Marcia Sloan at 765-973-8309 or email.

All items that are physically on Reserve are listed in IUCAT. Choose "Reserves" from the Library's main page menu. You can search by Instructor, Course Number or Course Name. Instructors may also place articles on Electronic Reserves. Electronic Reserves are handled by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). For more information, visit CTL's website at http://www.iue.edu/ctl/.

Reserve materials circulate for a limited amount of time, and there is a $1.20 per hour fine for late returns.

The New Castle-Henry County Public Library maintains reserves for IU East classes taught in New Castle and the Connersville Public Library maintains reserves for those IU East classes taught in Connersville.
