Middlefork Hall renamed Tom Raper Hall in honor of largest-ever gift to IU East

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Indiana University East Chancellor Nasser Paydar announced today (Aug. 27) the naming of IU East’s Middlefork Hall in honor of former Richmond businessman Tom Raper. 

The building will be renamed Tom Raper Hall in recognition of Raper’s commitment of $2.17 million to support the campus.  The gift is the largest in IU East’s history.

The Gallery art exhibit considers the metaphor

The Indiana University East art gallery will display “A Metaphor For A Metaphor” by Ball State University faculty Scott Anderson, Hannah Barnes, and David Hannon. The exhibit will be on display in The Gallery, located in Whitewater Hall, from August 24 to September 18.

IU East School of Nursing receives continuing accreditation

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission has announced that the NLNAC Board of Commissioners granted the Indiana University East School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program continuing accreditation for eight years. The next re-accreditation visit is scheduled for spring 2017. The commissioners commented that one of the School of Nursing’s strengths is the significant involvement of nursing students in service to the community.
