IU East pursuing Master of Science in Nursing degree

Indiana University East is pursuing its fourth master’s degree program in one of the nation’s growing career fields. The Master of Science in Nursing degree was approved by the Indiana University Board of Trustees during its October 1 meeting.
By receiving the trustees’ approval, IU East may now submit the graduate program to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association for their approvals.

Record enrollment again at IU East, 15 percent increase for fall

Indiana University East’s continued growth has resulted in another semester of record-breaking enrollment. Student enrollment (3,365) has increased by 15.1 percent this fall semester, while student credit hours (33,411.5) increased 15.5 percent over last fall.  Both figures are new record highs for the campus, breaking marks set last fall. enrollmentfall10

Kimberly Greer, assistant professor of biotechnology, is researching canine hereditary disease and aging/longevity and connecting the research to the human genes that could help people to live longer, healthier lives.kimgreervideo2

Greer has been drawn to research in the laboratory that could help explain why smaller canine breeds may outlive their larger canine peers.
