Several IU East faculty to present papers at International Lilly Conference
Indiana University East will have four of its faculty presenting their papers during the 28th International Lilly Conference on College Teaching to be held at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The conference is scheduled for November 20-23, 2008.

Presenting papers are:
• Morteza Seddighin, professor of mathematics, on “Teaching Online With Multimedia.”
• Diane M. Baker, lecturer of nursing, and Tonya Breymier, lecturer of nursing, on “Utilizing Simulations Within Nursing Education: The Fundamental Journey.”
• Victoria S. Beck, assistant professor of criminal justice, on “Comparing Online and Face-to-Face Teaching and Learning.”

Join IU East for a night at the museum
The Indiana University East School of Natural Science and Mathematics is presenting “A Night at the Museum” from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 in the community room, located in Whitewater Hall.

Fourth-grade to eighth-grade students are welcome to attend the event with their families. The is free and open to the public but reservations are required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Students will have the opportunity to get up close to once-living animals, from small microscopic creatures to birds and mammals. Experiment and find out how a bat’s wing look like your hand or what a mole’s fur feels like.
