students were named the 2008 Homecoming King and Queen during the bonfire Thursday, November 6 after the nominees had been narrowed to three lords and three ladies. The Homecoming Royalty was also introduced during the IU East/Holiday Inn Richmond Classic men’s basketball homecoming tournament November 8.

Stump is a senior in the nursing program, president of the Association of Nursing Students (ANS), works with Student Affairs, a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), the Student Events Team (SET), and is an IU East student blogger.

Pyle is also a senior in nursing, vice president of the Association of Nursing Students (ANS), a senior representative of the Nursing Student Affairs organization, a member of SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco), and a leader in the VOICE organization (Indiana’s first youth-led movement against Tobacco companies).

 The lords of the court are Jerry Richwine and Marcus Wright, both of Richmond; the ladies of the court are Jennifer Holland of Richmond and Jessica Lynn Smith of Liberty.

Richwine is a secondary education major who is involved in the Environmental Club and a Supplemental Instruction Leader. Wright is a senior in Purdue University College of Technology at Richmond computer graphics technology program. He also works in the Graf Center at IU East. Holland is a biology major and involved in the Environmental Club. Smith is a business administration major and is part of the IU East Airsoft Club.
