External Affairs administrators present on IU East’s successful campus campaigns at CASE Indiana
Rob Zinkan, vice chancellor for External Affairs, and John Oak Dalton, director of Communications and Marketing, presented at the CASE Indiana Fall Conference at Franklin College November 2.

The presentation, “We Are Family: Maximizing Your Faculty/Staff Campaign,” outlined strategies for significantly increasing participation for an institution’s annual faculty/staff fundraising campaign.  The presentation shared the story of the tremendous support that faculty and staff provide each year to the Campus Campaign, with an 85 percent participation rate in giving each year.

IU East’s Campus Campaign has been recognized twice by CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) with Pride of CASE V awards. The successful annual campaign has not only generated important funds, but it has also created a buzz, built internal pride, and set the tone for external fundraising efforts.

On November 7, Zinkan presented “Lifetime Relationships and Engagement in Higher Education” with Fran Zablocki, mStoner strategist.  The webinar was provided by mStoner, a national higher education marketing firm.

The presentation discussed the one-to-one, lifelong relationship between the university and an individual, not a many-to-one relationship between different departments of a university and a prospect, student, alumnus or donor.
