Music Department’s Holiday Choral Concert
Indiana University East students will perform a selection of holiday music on Monday, December 14. The Music Department’s Holiday Choral Concert will be at 7 p.m. at the Reid Presbyterian Church, 1004 North A Street.

The selection includes “Carol of the Bells,” “Deck the Hall,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” and “I’ll be Home for Christmas.” Students and volunteers will also have various solo performances.

IU East will close campus for the holidays beginning Friday, December 25, and reopen for regular business hours Monday, January 4.

Human Resources director attends national leadership conference as EIHRA delegate
Dianne S. Chandler, SPHR, IU East director of Human Resources, attended the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) National Leadership Conference for Volunteer Leaders of the Organization. The conference was held in Alexandria, Virginia, at the SHRM national headquarters from November 19-21. SHRM is the largest human resource association in the world with more than 250,000 members.

Chandler was the delegate for the Eastern Indiana Human Resource Association (EIHRA) of which she will be president in 2010. EIHRA is the local human resource association with members from Richmond, east central Indiana and west central Ohio.

Chandler has been a member of EIHRA for 21 years and served on the board of directors for five years.  As part of her responsibilities for EIHRA in 2010, she will also be a member of the Indiana State Council for SHRM.
