The Indiana University East School of Education is hosting an accreditation visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) March 24-26, 2013. The School of Education has been accredited by NCATE since January 1992.

Indiana University East has received continued accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC). The HLC’s next comprehensive evaluation of IU East will take place in 2021-22.

Indiana University East will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit in October 2011 by a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. IU East has been accredited by the Commission since 1971, and was last evaluated in 2002.

The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission has announced that the NLNAC Board of Commissioners granted the Indiana University East School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program continuing accreditation for eight years. The next re-accreditation visit is scheduled for spring 2017. The commissioners commented that one of the School of Nursing’s strengths is the significant involvement of nursing students in service to the community.
