Indiana University East will present Alice Driver from 5-6 p.m. on Monday, September 22, in the Whitewater Hall Community Room. Driver, a photojournalist in Mexico, will present on her upcoming book More or Less Dead. She will also talk about her work as a photographer and as a documentary filmmaker. Her documentary film is If Images Could Fill Our Empty Spaces.

Indiana University East is celebrating its third year of the “One Book, Many Voices” project. The project’s mission is to foster a campus and community discussion about themes and ideas inspired by a common text in an effort to develop camaraderie, inform knowledge, and inspire action towards positive civic engagement and improvement.
Indiana University East is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Danielson Learning Center with an open house from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 7. The Danielson Center is located at 300 Trojan Lane in New Castle, Ind. The center opened in 1999.
The city of Richmond, Richmond Art Museum and Indiana University East have received an Our Town grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Richmond is one of two cities in the state of Indiana to receive an Our Town grant this year; Indianapolis also received a grant.

Senior Capstone Art Exhibition opens at Room 912
Richmond, Ind. – The Senior Capstone Art Exhibition, which includes works by nine Indiana University East seniors, will be on display in the Room 912 Gallery, located at 912 E. Main Street in Richmond. An opening reception is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. May 2 at Room 912.

The Indiana University East School of Business and Economics Center for Leadership Development will host its Spring Leadership Forum beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in Whitewater Hall, Vivian Auditorium. The presentation is “BOOST 2.0: From Vision to Vitality Building on Our Strengths Together.”
“This region is rich with what I call points of positive potential. The Spring Leadership Forum provides a great opportunity for individuals from all facets of the community to come together and share in a conversation about how we can give the community a BOOST by building on our strengths together,” said Fredricka Joyner, associate professor of business administration and organization behavior at IU East.
The Indiana University East Alumni Association Legislative Forum will be held from 8-9 a.m. on Friday, April 4, in the Springwood Hall Graf Center. The forum is an opportunity for the community to have an in-person discussion with Senator Allen Paul and Representatives Tom Saunders and Dick Hamm.
