IU East Student Showcase
Indiana University East and Purdue University College of Technology in Richmond students now have their work on display in the Meijer Artway through Friday, May 10. Students exhibiting work were in fine arts classes at IU East during the fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters.

Indiana University East will host the Spring Conference of the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America March 22-23.

Invited speakers include Ivars Peterson, MAA director of Publications and Communication, presenting “The Jungles of Randomness;” and Aparna Higgins, University of Dayton and MAA Project NExT Director, who will present “Sequences of Polygons.”

The Veil – Visible & Invisible Spaces art exhibit to be on display

Indiana University East will host the Indiana University 21st Annual Women’s and Gender Studies Undergraduate Conference on Friday, April 3.

Indiana University East is hosting the Midwest Victorian Studies Association 2009 Conference from April 17-19. The conference is open to faculty, students and the public.

Alisa Clapp-Itnyre, IU East associate professor of English, is serving as the local coordinator for the conference. She said having the conference at a regional campus is a first-time event for the MVSA.

Indiana University East is now a member of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC). The announcement today comes days after IU East was accepted to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). IU East became an official NAIA member on Monday, October 1. Joining the KIAC is the final step in IU East’s process to launch intercollegiate athletics.

Richmond, Ind. – Today the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that it officially accepted IU East as a member of its association at its national meeting in Kansas. IU East will now pursue conference membership in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletics Conference.
