Students interested in criminal justice can take the fast track to graduation.
Indiana University East is offering a three-year degree program in criminal justice. The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree is offered through the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Students majoring in criminal justice can opt to accelerate their education by taking courses on a full-time basis including during the summer months.

At its June 11 meeting, the Indiana University Board of Trustees gave its approval for Indiana University East to pursue further approvals for its third master’s degree program.
The Master of Science in Management will now move on to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association for their approvals. Upon approval of these two commissions, the new graduate degree could be offered at IU East as early as the fall 2011.

This summer, Indiana University East will offer its first graduate degree program at its Ivy Tech Community College site in Lawrenceburg. On Friday, March 12, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education approved the Master of Science in Education degree program for the Lawrenceburg campus.

Indiana University East announced today (October 9) that a new degree completion program for a bachelor’s degree in communication studies will be offered in Lawrenceburg, Ind. located at Ivy Tech Southeast’s Lawrenceburg Riverfront Campus. The program was approved by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education at its meeting today held at IU East.

The Ohio Board of Regents has recently approved the offering of the Indiana University East Registered Nurse to
Bachelor of Science (RN to BSN) Mobility Option at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut signed the proposal signifying this program met the standards and requirements of the Ohio Board of Regents. This approval speaks to the high quality of the educational program as well as its intention to meet the need of registered nurses who wish to return to school to complete a BSN degree in nursing. Approval has been granted through December 31, 2012.

Indiana University East and Ivy Tech Community College announced today that they have entered into an agreement on programs that will significantly expand educational opportunities in southeast Indiana.
Indiana University East is now offering three bachelor’s degree completion programs for students enrolled at its regional center in Lawrenceburg, Ind. located at Ivy Tech Southeast’s Lawrenceburg Riverfront Campus. The completion programs are the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Indiana University East will initiate a new four-year degree program in the fall 2009 to provide students the
necessary knowledge and skills for careers in information technology. The Bachelor of Science in Informatics degree program will provide students with technical and analytical skills that can be applied in a variety of industries, organizations and professions throughout the state of Indiana and beyond.
