Parade, Chancellor Installation, block party highlight Homecoming activities in Depot District

Indiana University East is planning several events in Richmond’s Historic Depot District during its 2013 Homecoming week, October 21-26.HomecomingDepot

“Everyone is really looking forward to all the great Homecoming events and activities on and off campus,” said Director of Gift Development Stephanie Hays-Mussoni. “The events in the Depot will be a great way to include the community in IU East Homecoming traditions. Students, faculty and staff are also excited to spend more time in the Depot District which is quickly becoming a regular gathering place for IU East students. The Depot merchants have been tremendous partners in all of these activities and we look forward to many more opportunities to bring community and campus together.”

IU East’s Homecoming 2013 begins October 21

Indiana University East will host “Homecoming 2013: This Moment We Own It” October 21-26. Alumni, friends and the campus community are invited to participate in the activities and events throughout the week. Cruz-Uribe to be installed as IU East’s sixth chancellor at historic depot

The installation ceremony for Indiana University East Chancellor Kathryn Cruz-Uribe will be held in the historic Richmond Depot District at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, at the Pennsylvania Railroad Depot.  The theme of the ceremony will highlight Indiana University East as “A Steward of Place,” symbolizing the university’s deep commitment to the community and region it serves.KathrynCruz-Uribe

IU East’s Homecoming 2012 begins November 12

Indiana University East will host “Homecoming 2012: Red Wolves Rising” November 12-16. Alumni, friends and the campus community are invited to participate in the activities and events throughout the week.

Homecoming events are sponsored by the Alumni Association, Office of Campus Life, Student Activities Advisory Team, Student Government Association, and Students Today Alumni Tomorrow.

IU East’s Homecoming 2011 begins Saturday with KIAC volleyball tournament

Wednesday, November 9th

Indiana University East will celebrate “Homecoming 2011: Wild Night” the week of November 12-18. The campus is celebrating its 40th anniversary this fall, and Homecoming features several events that have an early 1970s influence. The theme is based on the song written and released by Van Morrison in 1971 and more recently covered by John Mellancamp.

Homecoming 2009 begins with Monday Madness

Indiana University East has a feeling it’s going to be a good night as the campus celebrates Homecoming 2009 the week of November 9-14.

This year’s theme, “I Gotta Feeling,” is based on the popular song by the Black Eyed Peas.

Homecoming King and Queen announced

students were named the 2008 Homecoming King and Queen during the bonfire Thursday, November 6 after the nominees had been narrowed to three lords and three ladies. The Homecoming Royalty was also introduced during the IU East/Holiday Inn Richmond Classic men’s basketball homecoming tournament November 8.
