IU East celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with campus, community events

Thursday, September 18th

Indiana University East will present Alice Driver from 5-6 p.m. on Monday, September 22,  in the Whitewater Hall Community Room. Driver, a photojournalist in Mexico, will present on her upcoming book More or Less Dead. She will also talk about her work as a photographer and as a documentary filmmaker. Her documentary film is If Images Could Fill Our Empty Spaces.

IU East, Starr Gennett Foundation to present Warren Vaché Sextette in concert

Indiana University East and Starr Gennett Foundation will present the well-known jazz group Warren Vaché Sextette in concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 8, in Vivian Auditorium, located in Whitewater Hall. The group features Warren Vaché, John Allred and Andy Brown.

IU East and Morrisson-Reeves Public Library collaborate for “One Book, Many Voices” Storytelling Series

Monday, September 17th

Indiana University East and Morrisson-Reeves Public Library are proud to announce a storytelling series featuring award-winning actor, writer, and storyteller Jennie Kiffmeyer. Kiffmeyer will discuss the storytelling process and her one-woman show, Rivertown Dispatch, at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 24, in the Community Room, located in Whitewater Hall at IU East. Kiffmeyer will then perform Rivertown Dispatch at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, at the Morrisson-Reeves Public Library. Both events are free and open to the general public; no registration is required.

IU East presents The Beelers in concert Sept. 17

The Beelers will perform at Indiana University East at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 17, in Vivian Auditorium, located in Whitewater Hall.
