The university has established an H1N1 Preparedness Web site at www.iue.edu/H1N1 with campus specific information, tips for prevention, symptoms, and frequently asked questions. Faculty, staff, students and their parents, as well as campus visitors, are encouraged to review this information on a continued basis for newly posted information.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised its Pandemic Alert Level to 5 due to the swine/bird/human flu virus. Today, Chancellor Nasser Paydar reassured the faculty, staff and students that the university is working closely with officials in the city of Richmond, Wayne County, Ivy Tech Community College and Reid Hospital & Health Care Services.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie today directed that all IU campuses begin taking precautions to prevent or limit the outbreak of swine flu among students, faculty or staff.
