Indiana University East alum Greg Chamness will receive the Indiana University Alumni Association President’s Award this Friday at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. Chamness is one of eight IU alumni being honored with the award in recognition of their volunteer service to IU and to their communities.

Indiana University East Entrepreneurship Center will host economic educators from Romania today throughDecember 8. The National Council on Economic Education approved a proposal by Tim Scales, Entrepreneurship Center director, and director of the Center for Economic Education to participate as a host for the Study Tour on Economic Education in the United States.

Kyle Wagers of Centerville has been chosen as the 2007 Lingle Scholar. The scholarship award will continue throughout his pursuit of a four-year degree at Indiana University East.

Wagers graduated in May 2007 from Centerville High School. He received his high school diploma with honors. While in high school, Wagers was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and several citizenship awards.

Indiana University East’s annual Moving On program for area youth will be held from July 22 to 28. Moving On is in its 17th year of providing a one-week summer camp for Richmond youth.
