Indiana University East will host “Homecoming 2012: Red Wolves Rising” November 12-16. Alumni, friends and the campus community are invited to participate in the activities and events throughout the week.
Homecoming events are sponsored by the Alumni Association, Office of Campus Life, Student Activities Advisory Team, Student Government Association, and Students Today Alumni Tomorrow.

Indiana University East has a feeling it’s going to be a good night as the campus celebrates Homecoming 2009 the week of November 9-14.
This year’s theme, “I Gotta Feeling,” is based on the popular song by the Black Eyed Peas.

Indiana University East has a name for the Red Wolves mascot. “Rufus the Red Wolf” debuted in person during the IU East/Holiday Inn Richmond Homecoming Classic basketball tournament held in November. After seeking nominations from the community for a name, the university received 162 suggestions.

Derrick Stump, of Pitsburg, Ohio, and Carri Pyle, of Richmond, are now homecoming royalty. The IU East
students were named the 2008 Homecoming King and Queen during the bonfire Thursday, November 6 after the nominees had been narrowed to three lords and three ladies. The Homecoming Royalty was also introduced during the IU East/Holiday Inn Richmond Classic men’s basketball homecoming tournament November 8.

Indiana University East will unveil its new mascot at 11:30 a.m. in the Whitewater Hall lobby on Wednesday, April 30. The event is open to the community and will be broadcast live by WCTV.

Indiana University East is one step closer to naming a new mascot. The IU East mascot steering committee has narrowed the 165 different nominations to five finalists.
The university is now inviting the public to vote for a favorite finalist.

Indiana University East has received over 125 different suggestions for a new mascot but is encouraging the public to continue submitting their ideas. The online suggestion box for the mascot closes December 31, 2007.

Indiana University East is on the search for a new mascot.
Interim Chancellor Nasser Paydar accepted a recommendation last week from a steering committee of students, faculty, staff, and alumni to change the mascot name from the Pioneers.

Richmond, Ind. – Today the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that it officially accepted IU East as a member of its association at its national meeting in Kansas. IU East will now pursue conference membership in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletics Conference.
