IU East presents awards to faculty and staff, Wayne County Foundation for their contributions

Indiana University East presented two awards, one to IU East faculty and staff and one to the Wayne County Foundation, for their generous support of the campus and its students during the annual Spirit of Philanthropy Luncheon held October 17 at Forest Hills Country Club. Vice Chancellor for External Affairs Rob Zinkan presented the awards.

Positive Place Initiative connects IU East, Wayne County Foundation with community project

Thursday, July 7th

Fredricka Joyner, associate professor of business administration and organization behavior, is working in conjunction with the Wayne County Foundation on a professional service and civic engagement project, the Positive Place Initiative. The initiative connects and applies the expertise of an IU East faculty member with a strategic community issue in the Richmond and Wayne County region.

IU East High School Speech Tournament Results

Friday, February 18th

Indiana University East hosted its Annual High School Speech Tournament on February 12 in Whitewater Hall. Approximately 80 students from seven Indiana regional high schools competed in 14 events.

High schools competing in the speech tournament included Burris High School, Centerville High School, Connersville High School, Covenant Christian High School, Lawrence Central High School, New Castle High School, and Tri Junior and Senior High School.
