Diana Stanforth, clinical assistant professor of nursing at Indiana University East, has been selected to receive the 2010 Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching Award. As an award recipient, Stanforth joins a distinguished group of faculty selected among IU and its regional campuses.

“Ms. Stanforth is indeed a master teacher who demonstrates excellence on a daily basis,” said Karen Clark, dean of the School of Nursing. “Receipt of this award acknowledges her outstanding contributions to the School of Nursing and her students.”

The award will be presented to recipients during the FACET Retreat to be held May 21-23 at the French Lick Resort and Conference Center in French Lick, Ind. Twenty-one faculty were selected to join FACET this year.

FACET awards are presented to IU faculty members who have demonstrated their exceptional commitment to teaching and learning through areas of self-evaluation, course preparation, research, instructional skills, and student impact. An IU Presidential initiative, FACET is designed both to recognize and enhance outstanding teaching throughout the IU system and to promote continued development of teaching excellence among colleagues at IU and beyond.
