Crane of Richmond, Ind., is a sophomore at Richmond High School. She was nominated for her volunteer service, going to school before it starts to help her teachers get the classrooms ready for the day. The nomination stated that she has a great attitude toward school and is fun to be around.

As the August High School Volunteer of the Month, Crane will receive a $250 scholarship to IU East.

IU East and G101.3 will recognize one student each month with the High School Volunteer of the Month award. Nominees should be high school students, ages 19 and under, who exemplify the spirit of community service and volunteerism. Each month a panel will select one of the nominated volunteers.
