IU East to giveaway t-shirts to RHS students at volleyball match

September 25, 2009 |

In response to changes in the Richmond High School dress code, IU East staff will give away logo t-shirts to Richmond High School students at Red Wolves volleyball matches on Saturday, September 26, and Monday, September 28.

“As Superintendent Allen Bourff indicated, we are partners with the schools, and we would like to acknowledge that partnership,” said John Dalton, Director of Communications and Marketing.  “And we hope it will also encourage students to come out and see a volleyball match.”

Saturday’s game is at 5 p.m. against the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Monday’s game is at 7 p.m. versus Marian College.

The t-shirt giveaway is an NAIA Champions of Character event for Indiana University East.

The Champions of Character program helps students learn great character traits that will benefit them in academics, team and individual sports, and in relationships with family and friends. The Champions of Character process is designed to instill an understanding of character values in sport and provide practical tools for student athletes, coaches and parents to use in modeling exemplary character traits.
